Food Safety
Food safety and compliance
How we approach applicable United States food-business requirements.
Regulatory framework
Food facilities in the U.S. may be subject to FDA food facility registration, Current Good Manufacturing Practice and preventive-controls requirements (21 CFR Part 117), as well as California and local permits. Applicability is assessed for our operations.
No unverified claims
We do not claim FDA approval, USDA Organic certification, Non-GMO verification or GMP certification unless verified. Our products are foods and are not intended to prevent, treat or cure any disease.
Labeling
Labels are designed to include the statement of identity, ingredients, net quantity, Nutrition Facts where required, major food allergens, manufacturer/distributor identification and lot codes. All labels require professional review before sale.
Infant warning
Honey should not be fed to infants younger than 12 months of age.
Traceability and recalls
Lot coding and records support traceability and product recall procedures.
